The last two national meeting of the Gil Stauffer group were chiefly concerned with preparations for the centenary.
Held in Madrid, in March and November, both had shortened orders of business and gave way to discussions over, together with general matters, a series of possible commemorative events to take place in 2005.
At the same time, as is usual, new partners were made welcome with insistence on the importance of the international expansion which is underway.
The two meetings yielded conclusions with regard to diverse aspects related to national and international sales, corporate image, working organisation and practice, billing and compensation, centralisation of purchasing, etc. These conclusions will be reflected in forthcoming decisions which will mark final corporate strategy for confronting the next year
More distinctively, the first of these meeting also saw the fifth annual presentation of Gil Stauffer awards which on this occasion were won by the following professionals:
Mr Juan Blanco was presented with the long service award in recognition of his thirty-eight years of service and constant demonstration of willingness and the highest level of loyalty to the company.
The award for the greatest improvement in sales went to the Málaga branch due to an increase in sales which has reached almost twenty percent in comparison to the year before.
Mr Agustín Ramos received the award for the best projection of the company's image for his constant demonstration of loyalty, his collaboration with other members of the group and for his continual acts of acknowledgement.
