Emulating Sevilla in 1992 and under the title of "Water and Sustainable Development" the Aragonese capital, cradle of the river Ebro, has emerged victorious from amongst the diverse candidatures put forward to celebrate the Universal Exhibition of 2008. From amongst the other available options the Aragonese proposal chose water as the single most important element. For this reason it chose as its site land within a loop of the river Ebro, close to the new National Rapid Rail (AVE) Terminal, and in a zone in which great urban development is expected. The city is expected to receive up to 1,029 million Euros in tourist revenue, and to create some 9,500 jobs in preparation for the event.
From the beginning, Gil Stauffer Zaragoza has involved itself deeply in this ambitious project and undertook the transportation of the spectacular model designed to manifest the diverse ceremonies which will be celebrated throughout Spain.
